What to do about "fishing" the BAD kind

Have you ever gotten an email from a strange bank or financial institution asking for important information about your account?

They are called a phishing (fish’ing) scam.

Now you can do something about it OnGuardOnLine.gov is a site setup by Home land security, F. T. A., D. O. J. and others to inform, update and educate the public to protect them selves from scammers that are not only on the internet but also contact you by phone telling you that you have won a prize and after you pay your taxes they will mail you the prize

It should be common sense that you never give information like account or social security   numbers to anyone. And your bank knows your account info they will never email you asking for it. If you get a suspicious email you can forward to spam@uce.gov or reportphishing@antiphishing.org the law enforcement agencies use this information to track down the scammers. It will not stop until we all get together to stop them.

Stay safe and informed...
